Client Spotlight: Renee

Every other month, I showcase a client I’ve worked with and how together, we’ve helped them knock their goals out of the park. I hope this gives you a bit of inspiration—I know it keeps me inspired to keep working hard! Here’s my Q+A with Renee.

What caused you to seek treatment?
I came to Dr. Steph with a very sore shoulder, limited mobility and range of motion that I’d been dealing with for over a year. Massage would help for a few days, but it would always come back. I was doing hot yoga regularly, modifying certain poses and dealing with constant pain that kept me awake at night and affected my concentration during the day. It was difficult to do everyday tasks like putting on my coat, bra and shirt.

What was unique about your treatment?
Dr. Steph assessed my range of motion and pain and could pinpoint my issues right away. She explained the mechanics of the problem to me very simply and we made a plan to work together.

How are you progressing?
Over the course of a couple of months, my pain and range of motion improved drastically. I’ve been able to increase my yoga to 4 times a week PAIN FREE. I’ve also started incorporating Pilates classes and strength training so I can continue building the muscles in my back and shoulders that were affected by my injury.

Would you recommend Empower Physio & Wellness to your friends?
YES! I knew I was in pain before I saw Dr. Steph, but until she fixed the problem and I was pain free, I didn’t realize how it was affecting so much of my life—sleep deprivation, foggy brain, exhaustion and lack of focus. I’m so thankful I invested in her treatment plan and expertise and wish I would not have waited a few months to start after meeting her!
