Every other month, I showcase a client I’ve worked with and how together, we’ve helped them knock their goals out of the park. I hope this gives you a bit of inspiration—I know it keeps me inspired to keep working hard! Here’s my Q+A with Jenn.

What caused you to seek treatment?
I felt frustrated because I would have to stop errands early and go home because walking too much hurt. I was also exhausted because I was experiencing pain daily and nothing really seemed to help

What was unique about your treatment?
I had tried physical therapy prior to working with Dr. Steph and it never really seemed to get to the root of the problem or I just felt like another number. I would show up, do some exercises and I’d go home without confidence that things were going to finally get better. Dr. Steph, however, worked to get to the root of the problem during the very first visit. For the first time, I felt like I was in really good hands and like PT could actually help!

How are you progressing?
I feel like a different person! I sleep better, I have more energy, and the best part is that my workouts are 100% more effective because my muscles are actually working efficiently and doing the work they were made to do without other muscles over-compensating and causing more pain.

What are you looking forward to achieving in the future?
I feel like I can take on more training certifications because I now have the mobility and flexibility that had steadily been getting worse for years! I don’t have to worry about whether I’ll be able to handle certain exercises, or even show them to my clients because my muscles are finally working (strongly) together and they are no longer in a constant fight!

Would you recommend Empower Physio & Wellness to your friends?
Absolutely! Steph was a game changer. I had been in pain for at least 10 years and until I worked with her, I really had no idea how much it was affecting so many aspects of my day—from my mood to my posture, how I walked, how I slept and even just how I moved my body (or didn’t) on a daily basis. She made exercising fun and being a personal trainer, that’s not only important to me so that I can stay active and fit, it’s also important to my clients so I can show them proper techniques and prevent them from getting injured!
